Background

Born in Mana Ridge to a minor noble family, He has an older half-sister (Rosti, age 33) and younger half-brother (Malakoff, age 15). Despite his status as an illegitimate child, he was raised and educated to be his family's heir. With the eventual unexpected birth of the legitimate son, he was encouraged to enter the clergy - yet retains many of his duties until his brother comes of age. While on good terms with Rosti, he has a somewhat distant relationship with Malakoff. His brother sees him as role model, but his father's wife makes her disdain apparent. To avoid stepping on any toes, he throws himself into his work with the brotherhood.

He found passion in his faith and the Goddess Altea, and his efficiency in uncovering and eliminating dragon cultists brought him recognition as an inquisitor working under Master Cleric Enoch. Somewhat overzealous yet highly successful in his work, and unpredictable in his whims, he gained the moniker "Inquisition's White Fox". He was an important figure in uncovering the corruption within the Brotherhood and exposing Bishop Ignacio as a dragon cultist.

Eventually his immediate return was ordered, due to an incident involving dragon cultists, and he left Carderock without a word. After several months in Saints Haven with no contact, Mue returned to Phan's side just as abruptly as he left. They were eventually able to work through their feelings and frustrations and begin a relationship in ernest, pledging to communicate properly from now on.
