Background

Born to a large family in Merca's Port, Hisao grew up knowing the struggle of making ends meet and the importance of coin for freedom. He was able to get a job working on a merchant ship, and due to his exceptional observational skills and economic sense, ended up apprenticing under a local tradesman. He eventually was able to establish his own trade in the textile and dye industry, and supports his family monetarily while travelling.

With the awakening of Childs across the region, including one of his own siblings, he was prompted to take up the cause and join the Anti-Goddess Faction against the Army of Destruction. He continued to work covertly, assisting the rebel group while travelling across Mistlands. When the trade route opened between Mistlands and Lagendia, he expanded his commerce goals, and took up a part-time residence in Saint Haven.

Meeting while conducting trade in Red Lotus Palace, he got to know Sid and learn of his conflict of faith for the goddess Vestinel. Seeing him as a potential ally to the cause, and being endeared to Sid's nervous yet kind

demeanor, they grew closer. They eventually decided to pursue a romantic relationship, and ended up moving to Saint Haven, Lagendia together. They share a temporary residence with Phantonio and Muesli, travelling half of the year for trade.
